We've had a busy week. Last weekend I made my return to triathlons and the girls came to watch. I wanted to do one before the end of the season so I picked one that fit our schedule and after I registered I realized that it was a fundraiser for the UMass NICU where the girls were taken care of when they were born, so I was very excited for this race. It was a cold morning so we got the girls all bundled up.
The girls love dancing. Abby is still a little camera shy when she dances but I'll try to get a clip of her. She has some awesome moves going. Emily doesn't seem to be camera shy, though. The one problem is that she only seems to like dancing to songs that have trashy lyrics (it is SO funny, though).
It was not an ironman - in fact it was a very, very short tri. next year I'll move into some longer ones. This year I just wanted to get back into racing at least once.
To train for an ironman you need to have about 3-4 hours available to train/day at the peak of training, which I DEFINITELY won't have soon. I'm hoping to do one once the girls are older, though.
Taryn, you look fantastic! It seems like not long ago, I big as a house looking at the pictures of you right before your girls (and subsequently mine) were born. You were big as house too, but now you're rail thin! You go!
Byron, and I welcomed our first and second daughters into the world on October 31, 2008. Since then we've been spending most of our time working on turning them into the most awesome kids ever.
