WOW. I grew up with 2 brothers who were 5 and 12 years younger than me. I thought I knew how much trouble toddlers could be. I was horribly mistaken. I had no idea a 2 year old could make herself look like this (yes, she acts as crazy and mischievous as she looks)
But I guess if they didn't act like that we wouldn't appreciate moments like this:
Though they are trouble they do adorable things almost as frequently. Any time the camera comes out Abby wants to get right up into the lens and do her cheesy smile. Sometimes we get luck and get some less ridiculous smiles out of her too.
I know. You don't need to remind me. My kids are little grubs. They always have crusty faces. I mean always. Pretty much right out of the bath. I don't know how it happens and I've tried to stop caring because it's just impossible to control the faces of two 2 year olds at the same time. No need to point out that when we're out Emily's hair is usually in pig tails but never has a straight part. It's always out of control and actually to be honest, I think I kind of like it like that. It gives people an idea of what we deal with all day every day with these two. They're just plain crazy. But it certainly is fun to be a part of it all.
We've recently been pummeled by snow in MA and the girls go crazy over it. Last week Emily was running around the house in only a diaper and Byron was shoveling off the porch so we'd be ready for the next storm and not have a collapsed porch or anything. Emily stood at the sliding door insisting that she go outside. We've made the decision to let the girls learn some things on their own, and this was a situation where we decided to let Emily learn about how clothes keep her warm. Byron let her sit in a pile of snow. At first she loved it. The she realized it was cold. So she called out for Byron and we brought her inside to wrap her up. She was pretty happy with herself once she was all warm. Please don't call DSS on us or anything...this was a matter of seconds and she pretty much loved it :)
I recently caught another fight on camera. Emily was messing with Abby pretending to give her a mint and then she'd rip it away. Finally Abby stood up for herself and ripped it out of Emily's hand. Emily wasn't too thrilled with the outcome.
