I know, I know...every time I post I say that I'm going to try to be better about posting more often, and every time I really do have the best intentions but we've been so busy with between the girls and work. That said, we have lots of updates and pictures to share with you as it's been more than 3 weeks since I last posted anything.

Abby and Emily are doing very well. They just love to talk to us - if they get started babbling they will go on and on. It's so cute to see how excited they seem when they "talk". They are getting very good at reaching for and grabbing things. They like to pretend to hold their bottles even though they aren't quite strong enough. Abby is scooting around in circles now. She seems to like trying to crawl, although she probably has a little while before she's really crawling!

The first of two big advances is that the girls started eating baby food a few weeks ago. The first few days were pretty rough, but now they love to eat! Emily gets very unhappy when you don't shovel it into her mouth fast enough.

The second big advance was that Emily finally learned to roll from tummy to back! I was getting a little concerned that she hadn't rolled yet, so last night I told her that if she rolled before she turned 5 months (March 31) that I'd giver her $20 when she was old enough to care about money. Sure enough just a few minutes later she rolled! Byron says that she's going to be an entrepreneur. I hope I haven't created a monster :) We don't often sit down and film them, but last night Byron happened to be sitting there with the video camera taping them and sure enough he caught Emily's first roll!

Abby and Emily are now 4 months old! They have been learning a lot of new skills lately. Last time I blogged they had been laughing sporadically, but now they are cracking up on a regular basis. We discovered that they are ticklish also. They also love to have babbling conversations with us and each other. They sleep 10-12 hours a night which means that Byron and I are now finally able to sit down and watch a tv show or movie after they go to bed and not have to constantly rush to bed because we'll be getting up during the night with the girls.

Last week I was in Minneapolis for work, meaning that Byron was alone with the girls for the first time. The first night Abby got up once, which she hasn't done in many weeks, but the second night they decided to give him a break.

Yesterday Abby decided that it was finally time to roll over! Here's a video of her rolling. Better videos will be posted later.

Here's the latest bunch of pictures:

Byron thinks that baby socks should always be pulled up because their legs look so funny like that. Here's Abby with high socks on. Her legs are getting so chubby!

Abby and Emily were dedicated at church on March 1. Dedication is similar to an infant baptism or christening. An infant dedication is when the parents and extended family commit to raising their children in the Christian faith so that they can make a commitment and be baptized at a time of their choosing later in life.

Emily wasn't happy that Abby was napping so she scooted her body around so that she could kick Abby until she woke up.
